These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Disability Pathways (“DP,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), part of the Guided Pathways family of apps. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
Who can use Disability Pathways
Disability Pathways is intended for use by adults (parents, guardians, and caregivers) managing information on behalf of a child. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Accounts are created and controlled by the adult caregiver, not by children.
Not medical, legal, or financial advice
Disability Pathways provides general educational information about diagnoses, therapies, school systems, Medicaid, and related topics. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified doctor, therapist, lawyer, or financial professional. Tools like the Symptom Check and “Is It an Emergency?” triage are screening aids only, not diagnoses. Always consult a qualified professional for decisions about your child’s health, education, or legal rights. If you believe you have a medical emergency, call 911 or your local emergency number immediately.
Your account
You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Information you enter about your child is stored on your device, not shared with other apps in the Guided Pathways family, and is removed when you delete the app or your child’s profile.
Safe Space and community content
Safe Space lets you share posts, replies, and reactions with other families. You’re responsible for what you post. Don’t share personal health information about your child, don’t harass or attack other users, and don’t post anything illegal, abusive, or spam. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules. Content you post may be visible to other users of Disability Pathways.
Provider Directory and connection requests
The Provider Directory is shared across the Guided Pathways family of apps, including Autism Pathways. We do our best to keep listings accurate, but provider information (availability, insurance, contact details) can change without notice — always verify directly with a provider before an appointment. Disability Pathways is not affiliated with any provider listed and does not endorse or guarantee the quality of care from any provider you connect with.
Premium subscription
Some features require a Premium subscription, purchased through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and are managed through your Apple ID or Google Play account settings, not through Disability Pathways directly. Pricing is shown in the app before purchase. Beta testers and other accounts may receive free or discounted Premium access for a limited or unlimited time at our discretion.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Disability Pathways to violate any law, impersonate someone else, scrape or misuse the Provider Directory, attempt to access other users’ accounts, or interfere with the app’s normal operation.
Disclaimer of warranties
Disability Pathways is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind. We don’t guarantee the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that information in the app (including provider listings, state program details, or waiver information) is complete, current, or accurate for your specific situation. Laws and programs vary by state and change over time — always verify with official sources.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Disability Pathways and Guided Pathways LLC are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app, including decisions made based on information in the app.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the app evolves. We’ll update the “Last updated” date above when we do. Continuing to use the app after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
